OVHC Past Players Performing Well In College

Several former Ohio Valley Hoops Classic participants are performing well at the NCAA Division I level.

Jordan Dartis (Newark) is averaging 12.8 ppg for Ohio University; Matt Wilson (Campbell County) is averaging 10.1 ppg, and 4.9 rebs. for Army.    Wilmington’s Jarron Cumberland is averaging 7.5 in his freshman year at UC, and was recently named conference player of the week.  Jason Carter (Johnstown Monroe) is scoring 7.9 ppg and grabbing 5.2 reb. for Ohio University.  Myo Baxter-Bell (Chaminade Julienne) is averaging 7.0 ppg and pulling down 3 rebs for Liberty.  Other stats:  Markel Johnson (East Tech and North Carolina State) 4.2 ppg, 2.4 assists;  Jalen Tate (Pickerington Central and NKU) 4.6 ppg; Rodney Culver (Pick Central and Ohio U.) 3.6 ppg, 2 rebs; and Jaevin Cumberland (Wilmington and Oakland U) 2.9 ppg.  Others on D-1 rosters include:  Ibi Watson- (Pick Central) Michigan; Evan Clayborne(Dunbar) Cleveland State; Ulmer Manzie and Houston Smith (Africentric) Bethune-Cookman; Alan Vest (CJ) Wright State; Malik Smith (Cleveland Heights) UNC-Asheville; and John Miller (New Albany) Army.
